Student practice- Observation 3
This is a class for Grade One. The theme of this class is “let's have a picnic together”.
At the beginning, the teacher asked the students, "What can we eat during the picnic?" This effectively activated the students' knowledge. The students answered very actively, such as "apple", "cake", "juice" and so on. The teacher will write what the students say on the blackboard.
Then open the textbook and compare it. What are the words in the textbook? Ask the students to come up and circle the words in the textbook on the board. Which one is not on the board? Ask the students to add it. The students are all very active and behave in an orderly manner.
Halfway through, there was a little boy who was too noisy. The teacher took him out. Let a boy lead the reading in the class. After getting familiar with the relevant vocabulary. The teacher asked the students to open the activity textbook and do exercises. First, it was listening. The teacher would call on the students to answer questions, and the students also participated in the class very actively.
After finishing the practice exercises, students' knowledge is consolidated and enhanced. When doing exercises, the teacher also gives clear instructions, explains each question and provides feedback to the students. When the students hear encouraging and approving feedback, smiles always appear on their faces.
Although some students may walk around and talk freely in the classroom, the teachers have taken corresponding measures in a timely manner, so the overall discipline is still acceptable.
