Final Reflection

After a semester of teaching, I have learned many practical skills, which can make the class proceed more smoothly. My internship was at a public primary school and I was a first-grade student. Their English proficiency was at the very beginning, so this was actually a big challenge for me. But I have a very responsible mentor who often gives me guidance and suggestions. For example: Students are very slow in completing tasks. She said that a countdown/timing could be placed on the screen, so that students can be aware of how much time is left and have a sense of urgency. If students don't understand, there will always be one or two students with good English who can understand.
